1. Why should I use the HydraTrend^TM test strips?

Dehydration can be highly dangerous whether it results from exertion, environmental factors or health status. Using HydraTrend^TM test strips is a valuable tool in optimising athletic and physical performance. Our quick and easy to use HydraTrend^TM test strips will provide you with feedback so that you can fine tune your fluid intake.

2. How do I know my results are accurate?

We have provided you with 2 quality control solutions. These are used to check the system which includes the accuracy of the test strip and how well you have performed the test and read the results. Please have a read of our full instructions here for more information on the control solutions provided in your kit.

3. Can I buy in bulk?

Yes, you are able to purchase HydraTrend^TM test kits in cartons of 12 bottles. You are given this option in the shop.

4. What happens if my HydraTrend^TM test trips are out of date?

AES recommends that you do not use expired HydraTrend^TM test strips as they may provide you with false or incorrect results.

5. How do I store my HydraTrend^TM test strips?

Keep your Hydratrend^TM test strips in their bottle, away from direct sunlight, humidity, moisture and heat. Keep the lid closed at all times and store at 10^o–26^oC (50^o–80^oF).

6. How do I store the High and Low control solutions?

Keep your HydraTrend^TM High and HydraTrend^TM Low control solutions stored away from direct sunlight, humidity, moisture and heat. Keep the lid closed at all times and store at 10^o– 26^oC (50^o–80^oF).

7. Can I photocopy the colour chart and use it?

No. The specific colour that is represented on the card is difficult to reproduce via copy and therefore AES recommends always using the proper HydraTrend^TM colour chart provided in your pack. Should you require any further copies, you can head to our online shop or contact AES.

8. Can I get a colour chart emailed to me?

9. Can I reuse the cup?

If you are reusing the cup, rinse it well three or four times with water and dry completely. Do not use soap as even the smallest amount of soap or detergent can cause incorrect results.

10. Can I reuse the test strips?

No, our HydraTrend^TM test strips are for single use only.

11. Is a sample cup supplied for my urine sample?

Yes, AES provides you with a sample cup for you to collect urine.

12. Can I get any spare cups for testing?

Yes, AES can for a small fee provide you with extra specimen cups.
